Safely Shopping at Van Hage
Following recent Government guidelines, Van Hage will be open with measures in place to safeguard our customers and colleagues.
We are here for all your essentials in our Food Hall and Pet Care Departments along with all your gardening needs and we hope to inspire you with our superb plants and gardening accessories.
To help you enjoy your time with us, please follow our shopping guidelines for the safety and wellbeing of yourself, our staff and others.
We ask that all our customers observe safe social distancing, including wearing a face covering at all times. Hand sanitiser is available at entrance and exit to the store
AT THE ENTRANCE
According to the Government’s rules, you can only enter with members of your own household or support bubble. We would encourage only one household member per visit where at all possible. To aid social spacing we will ask you to take a newly sanitised trolley or wheeled basket, which will be handed to you at the entrance.
We will provide one basket or trolley to each visiting household, and we ask that you please keep this with you, at all times, even if you do not make a purchase. Please leave your basket or trolley at the exit.
Visitor numbers inside Van Hage are controlled by limiting the number of baskets and trolleys in circulation at any given time. We realise this means you may have to wait to enter, but please bear with us during this difficult time. You may find it easier to visit at quieter times, e.g. from 10am to 12.00pm, or at the end of the day.
INSIDE THE SHOP
Please be careful with your social distancing, particularly in high traffic areas, where you can see clear signage and floor markings to help you maintain a safe distance.
AT THE END OF YOUR VISIT
We have put in place a socially distanced queuing system to make the end of your visit as smooth as possible. Unfortunately, at busy times you will probably have to wait in the queue for the checkouts.
To join the checkout queue please follow the directional signs and arrows to the pay desks, and please feel free to ask our staff for help if needed.
